About the Residential Protection Program
Buying a home is one of the biggest investments consumers make. The Residential Protection Program administers the New Home Buyer Protection Act including mandatory new home warranty and builder licensing requirements. These program components increase the standard of construction in Alberta; improve consumer protection and recourse options; and increase builder accountability.
